A native of Halifax, Elizabeth Anne McCarthy has trained with TooBa Physical Theatre Centre in Vancouver, BC and Neptune Theatre’s Pre-Professional Training Program in Halifax, NS. She has worked in comedy and children’s theatre in BC (Jiff Martin Play’as, Vancouver Island School Board), in Nova Scotia (DaPoPo Theatre, Foghorn Theatre, Le Theatre de Boheme, Vile Passeist Theatre) and in Ontario (New Actors’ Colony Theatre). Her self-written one-woman show co-created with Halifax’s Christopher Little, Scopophilia: Into the Eye of the Sun was accepted while in development for its world premiere at Fringe Festival Praha in Prague, Czech Republic in June 2012, and also played to Halifax audiences in late 2012. Short film roles include Bad Day, Good Day, Bad Day, Smoking Tonight, and Toy Pistol. Roundabout marks her feature film debut.
